Nikolai Myaskovsky - Symphony 6

Myaskovsky (1881-1950) was a Soviet Russian composer, who was once highly regarded, then fell out of favour, and is making a comeback in recent years. Central in his oeuvre are his 27 symphonies, of which I have selected my personal favourite, symphony No. 6 in E flat minor, Op. 23, from 1923, for large orchestra and mixed chorus.
