Peter Warlock - The curlew

Warlock, the pseudonym of  Philip Arnold Heseltine (1894-1930), was a British composer. HIs output is rather limited, but it contains one absolute masterpiece: the song cycle The curlew on poems by Yeats, for the unusual combination of voice, flute, cor anglais and string quartet, from 1922.
